In fact, cholesterol is a fatty substance that occurs naturally in the blood, cell walls, and most body tissues. Our liver is responsible for the making cholesterol in our body. When we eat food which is rich in saturated fat, our liver will be able to convert it to cholesterol.

There are essentially two kinds of cholesterol. Most people will say these two kinds are good and bad cholesterol. You will need the good cholesterol so that your body can function properly. As mentioned, your cells and body tissues will need cholesterol in order to function properly. On the contrary, when you have too much cholesterol in your body, it will increase the risk of developing into heart attacks. This excessive cholesterol in our body will be categorized as bad cholesterol.

In most cases, Low Density Lipoprotein will be categorized as bad cholesterol. If you are of high Low Density Lipoprotein level, you are under a very high risk of heart attack. On the other hand, High Density Lipoprotein is categorized as good cholesterol. They can help to carry excessive blood cholesterol back to the live. And this excessive blood cholesterol will be eliminated in the liver. From here you may know that you will be under the risk of heart attack if you are of low High Density Lipoprotein.

You should always remember that cholesterol is very essential for you otherwise your body cannot function well. However, excessive cholesterol will certainly do harm to your body. As a result, food products which are cholesterol free may not be really good for your health. You have to consider your own cholesterol level. If you are of a high level, this food can be something good for you. However, if you are of very low cholesterol level, you may not really want to take these food products since they may not be good for your health.
